How to Locate the HZN-VI Rocket in Forza Horizon 6
Where the HZN-VI Rocket Is Located
The HZN-VI Rocket is found at the Irokawa Space Centre, located on the southern edge of the map in the Nangan region. This area is easy to recognize once you reach it: it’s a large, industrial-style space facility built for launch operations, with clearly defined launchpads and support structures.
The space centre itself is part of the broader exploration content in Forza Horizon 6, and it stands out because it breaks away from the usual city and countryside scenery. Instead, you get a mix of heavy machinery, launch infrastructure, and wide open concrete pads.
The rocket you’re looking for is one of the two main launch vehicles stationed at the facility.
How to Find the Exact Rocket
When you arrive at the Irokawa Space Centre, don’t expect a single obvious “quest marker” pointing at the HZN-VI Rocket. The area is large enough that you’ll need to orient yourself a bit.
Here’s how to narrow it down:
First, head directly into the launch complex at the southern edge of Nangan. As you approach, you’ll see tall cylindrical rocket structures standing upright on launchpads. There are usually two main rockets in the area, and the HZN-VI Rocket is one of these primary vehicles.
If you’re unsure which one counts for the challenge, look around the base of the facility. There’s also the Kazuhisa Origami Mural nearby, which is another visual landmark used in the “Discover Japan” photography set. If you can see the mural and the launchpads in the same area, you’re in the right spot.
Irokawa Space Centre serves as the central landmark for this entire challenge, so once you identify the facility correctly, the rocket is just a short drive away inside the complex.
Taking the Photo for the Challenge
Once you’ve found the HZN-VI Rocket, completing the objective is straightforward.
Drive your car into a position where the rocket is clearly visible in the background. You don’t need to be perfectly centered, but the structure should be fully framed and recognizable.
Then enter Photo Mode, adjust your angle so the rocket dominates the shot, and take the picture.
This counts toward one of the 26 “Discover Japan” photography spots in Forza Horizon 6, so it’s worth making sure the rocket is clearly visible before you confirm the shot.
Tips for Getting It Right
A few small things can make this easier:
- Approach from the main facility entrance so you don’t miss the launchpads.
- Use the camera zoom in Photo Mode to better frame the rocket.
- If the shot isn’t registering, reposition so the rocket body is fully in frame rather than partially cut off.
Unlike seasonal events or rotating challenges, the HZN-VI Rocket is always available. You can return at any time in any season, which makes it a low-pressure collectible compared to other time-limited objectives.
