How to Care for Dry, Cracked Heels

Dry, cracked heels can feel sad, rough and uncomfortable  like your feet need a hug. But you can help them feel soft and happy again.

Why it happens:

When your feet lose their natural oils and water, the skin around your heels can split or crack. Standing a lot, walking barefoot, wearing shoes without support or dry weather all make it worse.

What you can do (easy steps):

  • After a warm foot-soak (10 minutes), gently pat your feet dry and don't rub hard.

  • Take a rich cream like the QHC Intense Moisturizing Body Cream and apply it generously to your heels while the skin is still a little damp.

  • Put on soft cotton socks for the night so the cream stays in and helps your skin heal.

  • Repeat every night until the cracks feel smoother; then use every other night to    maintain.

    How it feels

Your heels will begin to feel smoother, less tight, less like they’re complaining. It’s like giving your feet a warm, comforting blanket.
