I was born and raised in the small town of Three Rivers, Texas. I received my undergraduate degree locally from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. I graduated summa cum laude and was accepted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.

After graduation, I stayed in San Antonio to complete my orthodontic residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where I also served as Chief Resident. My commitment to continuing education is reflected in my active participation in several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the Texas Dental Association. I am also proudly board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, a distinction achieved by only 15% of orthodontists.
