Weve been treated to a bevy of great highlight plays in the NHL this season, but the hockey play of the year might actually come out of the New Jersey high school ranks. No, really. Just wait until you see the play that Freehold Townships Julian Kislin made to set up a goal by teammate Max Halverson.First, Kislin dashes through two Middletown North forwards before spinning around another while tapping the puck between his opponents legs. Up next , Kislin sidesteps a flyby from the next defenseman before sliding a pa s through the other defensemans legs right to the tape of Halverson who had a wide-open look to finish.I dont care what level William Trudeau Jersey this happens in, nor the quality of the defending. Everything Kislin did on that play is simply amazing. Heck, he even absorbs a hit at the end of the play. To have the control and the poise to do as much as he did on one rush is just nuts. Oh yeah, and we forgot to mention this part: hes only 15 years old and a defenseman.Now, Kislin isnt just some random high school player. He was invited to USA Hockeys summer player development camp last year, meaning he was among the best under-16 players in the country. He also plays for Team Comcast, a AAA hockey program that helped develop one a.k.a. Johnny Hockey a.k.a. the super-skilled rookie.Perhaps well be hearing about Julian Kislin a lot more after this simply dazzling play.
